Who am I?

Honestly, in many ways I’m still the 12 year old kid who was fortunate enough to have parents who’d invest in my coding interest, buying previous-edition Teach Yourself [C/C++/HTML/Java/JS] in 21 Days books for $7.99.

I’m still the wet-behind-the-ears 23 year old being asked to serve as Team Lead on government projects.

I’m the 29 year old who jumped at the opportunity to do people management, both to help a growing Startup and to up-level my own skills.

I’m the 32 year old who had no idea what being a Director entailed but wanted to do it anyway.

More than anything, right now I’m the 40-something (so I don’t have to remember to edit this every year) who’s most engaged and in my element when I’m helping talented individuals and organizations deliver their best-ever work.

I launched my independent practice after helping a Startup strategize how to scale from 1 founding Engineer and establish a proper Engineering practice. That was the moment where I realized that I’ve built & grown products, people, teams, and companies, and it’s time I help others do the same.
